The initial year of BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Foundation Year offers an excellent grounding in the fundamentals of engineering, electronics, and mathematics. It’s designed to prepare you for degree-level study. During this first year, you’ll explore introductory concepts that encompass various engineering subjects, including mechanics, mathematics, and electrical/electronic engineering. These will prepare you for the ever-increasing cross-disciplinary nature of engineering.The rapid growth of the technology sector has seen an increased demand for creative, skilled engineers both nationally and internationally. Many global electronics organizations maintain research and development facilities within the UK and Europe. Engineers based in the UK can also be posted overseas to work on projects.

This 4-year degree program is delivered in partnership with the University of Bolton and will give you the engineering-related knowledge and practical skills needed for a professional career in engineering.

Alongside developing your skillset, we will help you build lifelong learning skills so that you can reflect on, articulate, and transfer them to everyday life in order to maximize your success. You will also be able to choose from several optional modules in your final year, which include renewable energies and advanced embedded systems, amongst others.

    80 UCAS tariff points (or above) or 60 Credit Ofqual qualification at level 3. 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above or equivalent qualifications including English and Mathematics.

    Applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements will be considered on an individual basis and relevant work experience may be taken into to consideration.

    Applicants aged 21+
    If applicants aged 21+ do not meet the standard entry requirements, we will also consider those with life/work skills which would make them suitable for undergraduate study with our Foundation programme.

    IELTS 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components) where English is not the first language of students.

  • Our university partners aim to provide opportunities for their students to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and competences that are key in construction management. The methods include essays, reports, real-life simulations, presentations, projects and group debate.

    You will be required to work in your own time to complete research, homework tasks or group work. Self-study plays a big role in your success on this course. Lecturers will guide you on the best study approaches, throughout the construction management course.

    University reviews their assessment methods annually to optimise the learners' experience. The assessment methods may be updated based on student feedback, to suit content or based upon feedback from an External Examiner. An External Examiner is an independent academic expert from an external Higher Education Institution that acts as a safeguard to academic assessment standards.
