As a Consultant in Student Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding students through their academic journey. Your responsibilities will involve providing assistance and information related to academic programs, administrative processes, and various student services. Proficiency in either English, Romanian or Polish is essential for effective communication with our specific student advisor position, for the specific language related clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Student Advising:

    • Provide personalized guidance to students regarding academic programs, course selection, and career paths.

    • Assist students in understanding and navigating university policies and procedures.

  2. Enrollment Assistance:

    • Facilitate the enrollment process, including registration, course add/drop, and payment procedures.

    • Collaborate with academic departments to ensure students have access to the necessary resources for successful enrollment.

  3. Language Support:

    • Communicate effectively in English, Romanian, and Polish to address the needs of a multilingual student body.

    • Translate relevant documents and information to ensure clear understanding for students.

  4. Problem Resolution:

    • Address and resolve student concerns and issues promptly and efficiently.

    • Collaborate with other university departments to find solutions to complex problems.

  5. Orientation Programs:

    • Contribute to the development and execution of student orientation programs to facilitate a smooth transition for new students.

    • Conduct workshops and information sessions to familiarize students with available services.

  6. Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and transactions.

    • Prepare reports and summaries as needed for management and administrative purposes.

  7. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other departments to enhance the overall student experience.

    • Participate in interdepartmental meetings and initiatives to improve student support services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Strong communication skills in English, Romanian, and Polish.

  • Previous experience in student services, advising, or a related field is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures is desirable.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
